Having a day where you just don’t feel like cooking? But you know you want an easy and delicious homemade meal- then this dinner is perfect! It took me literally about 20 minutes to prep and then another 3-4 hours to cook. Then you’re ready to eat!
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- 1/4 cup italian dressing
- 1 tbls white vinegar
- 2 jalepenos, sliced (optional)
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Combine all ingredients in bowl and pour a small amount on bottom of your crock pot. place chicken on top and pour the rest of BBQ sauce over top. Cook on High for 3-4 hours, or low 6-8 hours. Shred chicken using fork after cooked.
We used King’s Hawaiian buns to compliment the spicy side of the BBQ. Top with homemade coleslaw. (I jazzed up the usual recipe by adding blue cheese crumbles and craisins! Perfect match!) And an extra drizzle of BBQ to make the flavors really pop!
Serve with an extra side of coleslaw and a side of baked beans. Enjoy! (I know we did!) 🙂
*What’s nice about this dinner is you can also super size the amount of ingredients for a large party and it’s still a time saver and budget saver!
